The sun av Millie Holmer
It slows down and withdraws
For days, floating on the pelagic currents
At night the last light of the moon reaches her
There are words for what was did to her. Its rotten deceit, betrayal. Murder, and so on. but they don’t matter now.
Her heart, the size of a car
beats one time per minute
One heavy drumbeat
Now the last one
As she Turns her belly up
Her bright dark blood barely reaches the outer vascularies
The sound of tiny falling crystals
Her giant brain
Her skin
Someone is there to hear it?
In a few days she will turn down again
Where countless different organisms wait
Deep purple and pink starfish
Brightly colored clowns and vampires
Giant oval shaped crustaceans
Spiky venomous beings
And then the spores
bacterial rhizomatic growths
A bonfire of coral pink, turqoise, magenta, chartreuse green
Where the sun is just a distant uncle
Plants taking on the temperature of human hostess
My predatory neighbours
Their greedy eyes
Violence is female processes speeded up
War is motherhood
If there where no speed
There would be no intercourse.
A baby crying is like a clown’s laughter.
she deflates, with a thump
The bones and ligaments , the fingers of her wings connected to her spine
The fish follow downwards
Others take their place as the pressure rises
And she enters the dark zone
An ultramarine you can taste only with your soul
The shapes and images of the creators live there
(Some ancient punishments where designed to lead the victim as far as possible into the land of the dead, while still alive. )
Thin translucent tentacles that once engineered the world.
Ownership in death.
That’s what it’s come to
Torquemada lives inside your kitchen blender
What remains of her body
The skeleton
The Cranium with its pulpous fatty inside intact
Lands on the bottom
The way the leopards paw
lands on the ground, as it stalks its prey
